Rotary Club of Wakefield Art & Photographic Exhibition

15th FEBRUARY 2010: Artists line up for Bank Holiday exhibition

WITH a month to go before entries close, nearly 70 artists from across West Yorkshire are already lined up for Wakefield Rotary Club's May Bank Holiday art and photographic exhibition.

This will be staged at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield, between April 30 and May 3 when amateur artists and photographers will be able to display and sell their work.

Chairman of the organising committee, Roger Cressey, said: "The event is designed to raise money for charities supported by Rotary so I'm excited at the response we have had so far - and there is still plenty of time for more to enter."

Well known Yorkshire water colour artist Les Packham will be giving a demonstration during the exhibition and the resulting painting will be auctioned later.
