Friends of Rotary Group

A Friends of Rotary Group ( FORG ) was established on Monday 24th October 2005 to be associated with the Rotary Club of Wakefield.

REASON

A local social group directly linked to Rotary International which aims to bring together people who would occasionally like to give something back to the community and also enjoy social activities together.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES

We have business meetings once a month to discuss current and future events and to carry out any necessary organizing and research that may be required.

We are currently (January 2007) organizing a quiz and games night to be held on the 23rd March with all the proceeds going to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Unit.

OBJECTIVES

Although the group is still in its infancy, it is bound together by core members who are actively seeking outside enthusiasm and looking to increase membership in order to maximize the benefits which we can bring to the community, both financially and actively
