Queen Elizabeth Grammar School sports ground, College Grove, Wakefield WF1 3RW. MAP
This was a fun day for children aged between 4 and 9 years old.
The three events were a 400 metre "scoot", a 400 metre bike ride and a 150 metre run.
The entry fee was £5, Every child received a T-shirt and a medal and a wrist band entitling them to use a bouncy castle, a 30ft slide, an assault couse and other attractions. It was limited to the first 400 to apply..
Each entrant was expected to raise sponsorship, 75% of which is for local children's hospice charity the Forget me not Trust. The balance is for other charities supported by the Rotary Club of Wakefield. The child raising the most sponsorship in each age group will receive a £100 voucher to spend at Halfords.
