For the first time ever there was a Rotary Santa on the streets of Wakefield in 2009.
He travelled in style in a 1912 Rolls Royce!
Santa, accompanied by his Snowmen helpers visited the following areas
Monday 7th December...............parts of Sandal.
Tuesday 8th December..............parts of Wrenthorpe.
He and his helpers from the Rotary Club of Wakefield would like to say a very big thank you to the residents of Sandal and Wrenthorpe whose generosity is much appreciated. They enjoyed their tour and believe that they brightened up the evening for many people, especially the small ones.

Rotarian Martin Perry added to the carnival atmosphere by collecting in his fairy outfit to earn sponsorship pledges from fellow Rotarians. He even turned out in it at the club's Christmas meal, where he is pictured here, to add to his total. Clicking the photo reveals a further page with images from the Christmas meal.
